I Sold A Painting!!!
Woooohooooo! The painting sold for $1270. 100% of this money, $1,270, will go toward the building and renovation of the dormitory for the orphans in Uganda. Currently, the windows do not close, there is no door, or mosquito nets, and they have no blankets. That area of Uganda is very cold as it is 2,000 meters above sea level. So making sure that the dormitory is safe and warm is a top priority. Moreover, the current dorm only holds 20 beds, and we have 60 full orphans, so expanding its size will allow us to house more children.
Mental Toughness
Mental toughness provides the blueprint to becoming great. The tougher you become, the more you will dream and the more enjoyment in life you will have. Mental toughness makes us champions.
World class athletes strive for excellence. One of the reasons people from all over the world are in awe of professional athletes is because being in the presence of such champions encourages us to raise the standards in our own everyday lives. Sports and athletics inspire ordinary people to create extraordinary moments which stirs us, either as a participant or spectator, at a gut level. Sports is about passion, about playing for the love of the game.
Mental toughness can be defined as having a confident, focused, and determined edge during high pressure situations in order to perform at maximum potential. Desire or willpower may also be used to describe this powerful state of mind. Those who practice mental toughness principles perform at a higher level of awareness, understanding that stress and struggle play a role in becoming mentally tough.
Mental toughness is an acquired skill which requires on-going strength and conditioning training for our brain. Thinking controls how we perform. Thinking is the cause and performance is the effect. So thinking the right thoughts makes perfect sense. Just as we need to properly feed our bodies to ensure proper function and health, it is equally as important to properly feed our brain to ensure effectiveness.
If you believe in your ability to succeed, then you are preparing yourself for success.
